If you’re looking for a reason to quit or make the switch to vaping eliquids then this year with its unprecedented Covid-19 outbreak has undoubtedly been the sign you’ve been waiting for and has reminded us all just how important it is to keep ourselves healthy and fit.
This October, smokers in England are being encouraged to put their lungs first, strengthen their immune system, and making it easier to breathe ahead of the upcoming flu season by taking part in Stoptober 2020.
Public Health England recently updated their findings about vaping, but some of the key findings they stated was that:
Public Health England themselves acknowledge that people attempting to quit smoking for good find it easier to do so with vaping than it is either to go cold turkey or using a form of nicotine replacement therapy.
Even the Royal College of physicians acknowledged the impact that E-cigarettes and vaping have on people wanting to stop smoking or cut back on their nicotine intake.
So even the medical professionals themselves have said that there are benefits to vaping eliquids over smoking cigarettes.
As you can expect from us at Vapesteams we are big advocates of vaping and the benefits that smokers can gain from making the switch to vaping from smoking and its never been easier to start making that change for yourself by taking part in Stoptober 2020.
E-cigarettes and eliquids don’t burn tobacco all it does is heat the liquid up inside and doesn’t produce tar or carbon monoxide. These are two of the most damaging elements in tobacco smoke.
The liquid typically contains nicotine, propylene glycol and/or vegetable glycerine and whatever flavouring you choose to have in.
The cost of vaping works out as good value when you put it next to the cost of buying cigarettes.
The average price of a pack of 20 cigarettes is £12.73 and if you smoke the full 20 a day every day for 365 days it works out as £4646.45 which is a whopping price now you can see it, and that’s just for the cigarettes never mind air fresheners and all the extra washing that you’ll do to get the smell off the clothes, things like that add up!
The price of vaping is much less when you look at it:
This is a decent starter kit from Uwell Whirl – normally £23.99 but currently on sale for £9.99, different brands can come with different prices but good starter kits generally fall around this price and as a bonus, you can just charge this via USB which means no battery costs!
Now you need your liquids – 50ml bottle will generally last you about a week and on average costs about £7.99 so if we multiply that by 52 weeks that works out at roughly £415 and if you’re after a nicotine shot as well for each bottle we offer them for 99p so that brings it up to £467.48 for your full year’s supply.
Next, you’d need your coils. Normally we’d say change your coils every two weeks if you’re using the same eliquid flavour and strength – for the starter kit above we’d recommend these coils from Uwell Whirl, they come in a 4 pack so a box every two months at the current price of £6.99 will do which works out as £41.94 a year for coil replacements.
So time for the grand totaling up:
This works out as £519.41 a year for vaping using our examples above. Depending on your choices this might go up or down but not by much, so there is a financial benefit to vaping as well!
Let’s work together and make this Stoptober 2020 the one where you take the step, stop smoking and make the switch to Vaping!
